Here at Fair Gardens we are gearing up for another busy Spring, with plant deliveries from all over the UK and Europe arriving daily.
Late February and early March is the ideal time to start preparing your garden for the arrival of Summer. In the flower garden now is the time to start off those early bedding plants like Geraniums, Fuchsias and Bizzie Lizzie's. Kinder Garden plants provide an ideal and inexpensive solution with a huge range of varieties to choose from starting at only 75p each. Here at Fair Gardens Plant Centre all our bedding plants are homegrown on our nursery with over 10,000 Geraniums alone are produced giving you the customer thec opportunity to purchase Quality plants at a low low price.
Other plants like begonia's and Dahlias should be started off now, ready to plant out in May. If it is instant colours you are after we have lots of choice with potted spring bulbs, Daffodils and Tulips, Homegrown pansies, Vilolets and Primulas.
In the vegetable garden seed potatoes need placing in a light, cool frost free Greenhouse or on a window sill to sprout(Chitt) ready to plant out soon. If you are short of space we offer patio Potato planters that allow you to grow your own potatoes in these special containers, offering a whole season of potatoes grown in a small space.
Dry soil should be lightly dug over and then raked down to a fine tilth ready for sowing varieties of early Veg or alternatively you can buy ready grown plants from our extensive selection. Cabbage, Cauliflower, Lettuces and Sprout plants are readily available as are more unusual varieties such as Swiss Chard and Calabrese. Home grown Tomato and Cucumber plants are available from the end of March.
All the nursery staff are knowledgeable in all aspects of gardening and plant care, so if you require any help or advise all you need do is ask, we are more then happy to help you get the best from your purchases.

Garden Centre History
The story of Fair Gardens plant centre dates back some 34 years to 1972 when Harold Nicholson and a business partner bought a field in the small town of Kirton in Lindsey. The partner dropped out , some one suggested a garden centre and from humble beginnings in a wooden hut Harold and his wife Gill have developed it into one of the biggest garden centers in the area.
Gardeners and plant lovers will find just about everything hey will ever need all under one roof. Staff who work here are friendly and always happy to help customers, there is always a welcoming helpful atmosphere.

We have an area fully stocked with plant feed including speciality plant foods pesticides/fungicides.
Weed killers etc,gloves, lawn mower spares, tool area with hand held tools, stainless steel and other metals.Also budget tools, recognised names include Wolf, Town & Country and Wilkinson Sword, we have garden fence paint, brushes and accessories.

New outdoor patio area with tables and parasols over looking the plant nursery area.
Homemade meal menu with a specials board that changes daily along with popular favourites such as steak pie, fish and chips, gammon and pineapple, lasagne's,scampi etc. Sunday lunch is served on a Sunday with a choice of meats. Also available are lighter lunch ideas including jacket potatoes, panninis, toasted sandwiches, tea cakes etc, Or will you be tempted with one of the homemade freshly prepared puddings or home baked cakes which are on view at the front of the counter.Pick a table number and order at the till, you will be waited on by one of our friendly staff so you can just sit back and relax. |

Table sets include wooden, aluminium, cast iron and tiled sets. We have a wide range of gas BBQ's ranging from 2 burners to 6 burners. All BBQ accessories, bead door curtains, citronella, garden torches and candles. Many special offers available!
